Logistics service provider Westerman Multimodal Logistics has acquired a state-of-the-art new building in Hattemerbroek, near Zwolle, from real estate developer Borghese Logistics.
The logistics center, named B:logic Zwolle, is a newly built facility located in business park H2O, directly along the A28 highway. The site spans approximately 22.000 square meters of business and office space, divided into two units.
One unit, measuring 10.000 square meters, with 650 square meters of mezzanine space and 600 square meters of office space, has been leased to Verhoek Europe. The other unit is now occupied by Westerman Multimodal Logistics.
Gas-free
On the roof of the warehouse, which was completed at the end of last year, 52 solar panels provide part of the building’s power supply. Cars can also be charged with the generated electricity. Furthermore, the building is equipped with an ESFR sprinkler system and is completely gas-free. There are 28 docks, a mezzanine of 1.900 square meters, two loading pits, and five ground-level doors.
Westerman’s expansion plans
With this acquisition, the logistics service provider aims to strengthen its position in the logistics sector and take a step forward toward a more efficient and sustainable future. Additionally, after a successful test period, the logistics service provider has recently ordered two electric trucks.
