New racking systems at Westerman Multimodal Logistics

This past summer, Westerman redesigned its warehouse at De Grift 5!

After nearly 20 years of use, the existing racking systems were due for replacement. By rotating the new racks a quarter turn compared to the previous setup, we have significantly improved efficiency and created space for nearly 6,500 pallet locations. Additionally, shelving units have been installed beneath part of the pallet racks, allowing for efficient small-item picking. As part of our sustainability goals, all lighting has been replaced with LED technology, further enhancing energy efficiency.

With these improvements, we can offer our customers a more efficient and sustainable logistics solution.
