Hi! My name is Tessa, and since August 2023, I’ve been working at Westerman with great pleasure.
As a truck driver, I operate both the box truck and the tractor-trailer. Currently, I handle general cargo routes, which means I get to cover plenty of beautiful kilometers while always making it home at the end of the day.
Before earning my truck driver’s license, I worked as a veterinary assistant and had a side job at a courier company. That’s where I first came into contact with Westerman, giving me my initial impression of the transport sector—and it made me eager to grow further. I wanted more than just driving with a category B license, so I obtained my C and CE licenses. Applying to Westerman was the logical next step!
What do I love most about my job? The variety, the customer interactions, and the freedom of the road. The atmosphere among colleagues is also fantastic. After a workday, we sometimes grab a coffee together, and on the road, we always have each other’s backs.
One of the most memorable experiences I’ve had at Westerman was a trip to Kyiv, Ukraine. In November 2024, I teamed up with a female colleague and close friend to deliver humanitarian aid to this special destination. It was incredibly meaningful work and an experience I will never forget.
